Dreamy ("we," "us," or "our") provides a mobile application that offers AI-powered dream analysis features to help you understand your dreams, track sleep patterns, and gain insights from your subconscious mind.
Our Privacy Commitment
- Your data stays on your device. Dreamy stores your personal content—dream recordings, analysis, and insights—exclusively on your device.
- We only interact with our servers when you actively request AI processing for dream analysis, and even then, we don't store your personal information on our servers.
Information We Collect and How We Use It
1) Data Stored Only on Your Device
The following information never leaves your device:
- Dream recordings and voice transcriptions
- Dream analysis results and interpretations
- Sleep quality ratings and mood tracking data
- Dream symbols and pattern recognition results
- Personal dream insights and recurring themes
- Dream illustrations and generated artwork
- All audio files and dream journal entries
2) Temporary Server Processing
- What happens: Your dream recordings are sent to our server for AI analysis and transcription
- Processing duration: Data exists on our server only during active processing (typically seconds to minutes)
- What we use: Google Cloud Platform with Gemini AI for dream analysis, symbol interpretation, and illustration generation
- Data retention: Zero — all dream content is immediately deleted after processing
- What returns: Only the AI-generated analysis, insights, and illustrations return to your device
3) Subscription Information
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions:
- RevenueCat handles all payment processing
- We receive only anonymized subscription status (active/inactive)
- No payment information is ever collected or stored by us

4) Analytics and Diagnostic Information
We may collect minimal, anonymous data to improve app functionality:
- App crashes and error reports (no dream content or personal data included)
- Feature usage statistics (completely anonymized - e.g., "dream analysis used X times")
- Device type, operating system version, and app version for compatibility
- Basic performance metrics (app load times, processing speeds)
- Anonymous usage patterns to improve AI model accuracy (no personal content)

Consent Management
How we obtain consent: During first launch, we present our privacy practices and request consent before AI processing. You must actively agree; we never assume consent.
Without consent: The app cannot be used as AI processing is core to our features. You can exit onboarding and delete the app without any data being processed.
Withdrawing consent: Disable AI features (coming soon) or delete the app (removes all data and consent records).
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any material changes through the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
